One of my clients (Cassidy Communications of Bethlehem, PA, a graphic design firm) came to me to create a mascot for their client, the Monroe Country Transit Authority (MCTA). The bus service was named “The Pocono Pony,” so the mascot had to be a pony. Given my love of horses, I was their first choice to illustrate him.
The mascot was named “Miles” and the client wanted him to be friendly and fun. He is featured on bus stop signs, ads, t-shirts, promotional items, and a full-sized costume has been made.
